Dear Parents and Carers,
If your child is a football fan and likely to be staying up until after 11pm on Sunday to watch the Euro Final, if you want you can, let them stay in bed a bit longer and get to school by 10.00am on Monday 12th July. We would rather have children rested and in school ready to learn rather than absent all day or grumpy!
School will start at the normal times but children arriving up to 10.00am won’t be marked as late, and they won’t miss any lessons.
If you do intend to come in late, it is important that you tell us by ringing the school number on 01724 867065 and selecting option 1, which is to report a pupil absence. Please leave a message with your child’s name and class, you can start to leave the messages now. We will automatically start our safeguarding contact procedures if your child is not in school at the normal time and you have not let us know.
Infant children arriving later, please arrive at the white automatic doors at the Infant building.
Junior children arriving later, please come through the school office entrance at the Junior building.
Children will be asked what they would like for lunch when they arrive so it can be passed on to the school cooks.
It’s 55 years since England reached a major football final so let them watch, talk about the importance of the National Anthem, talk about pride and resilience and possibly disappointment. This is a learning opportunity.
Come on England!
