Nursery Rhymes

In Nursery we love sharing nursery rhymes!

Research has shown that children who know 8 nursery rhymes off by heart by the age of 4 have the potential to be one of the best at reading and spelling in their class by the age of 8!

Nursery rhymes are not only fun but are an extremely important part of early reading skills.

Through nursery rhymes children learn to practice pitch, volume and rhythm of language, they develop early phonics skills, they expand children's imagination and so much more as well.

We enjoy sharing not only the popular songs such as Twinkle Twinkle and Humpty Dumpty but also lesser remembered rhymes such as Sing a Song of Sixpence, Mary Mary, Two Little Dickie Birds and many many more.
