Our School Council

Our school council meet with Miss Howlett every half term to discuss issues about our everyday school life.

Each class from Year 2 to Year 6 has a representative and at our meetings we discuss any issues that our class have brought to our attention. As a team we work on ways of solving any problems and then feed these back to the Headteacher and Chair of Governors.

What have we been involved with this year:

Autumn term

  • Carried out a 'Feeling Safe' survey with our class and passed on our results. These will be shared with the governors at their Spring term meeting.
  • Carried out a survey about our homework. The results were shared with teachers and governors in the Autumn term.
  • Reviewed and amended the school's pupil friendly anti-bullying policy. This was shared with children in an assembly during Antibullying Week, there is a copy in every classroom and it is on our school website.

2nd November 2017

Our school council had a fantastic afternoon supporting the Scunthorpe Lions Club with the planting of bulbs in their Centenary Garden located in Kingsway Park. The children joined a group from St Augustine Webster's and worked tirelessly to plant hundreds of crocus and daffodil bulbs.

We can't wait to see them in full bloom next spring. A big thank you to the Lion's Club for inviting us to be a part of this event. What a great way to contribute to our local community. Well done everyone!
