Wb. 2nd July 2018

In phonics we will practise writing words using the trigraphs igh and ear.

In maths we will be focussing on time.

We have whole class and small group times each day where key objectives are introduced and practised. Children then have opportunity to consolidate and practise these skills (and much more) through adult supported play and exploration all week.

As it’s  our long awaited trip to the Baths Hall on Friday, we will be revisiting the stories and songs from A Place Called Home thiis week. We have also been asked to provide the children with a headband to wear as a costume, so we will be creating these on the theme of space people, stars and rockets. The trip is just for the morning, so children don’t need to bring anything special with them. There will be opportunity for parents to buy copies of the book - at the Baths Hall if you have a ticket to join us there.

It is sports afternoon on Thursday. Please send the children to school wearing shoes that are suitable for running on the field, shorts or leggings and their normal school T Shirt. As I’m sure you can appreciate, it would be very difficult for us to change 90 excited children at lunch time. We are requesting normal school uniform T shirts as the children have their second transition visit in the morning and we want them to be smart and calm for that.

It’s going to be a busy week!
