wb.11th September 2017

We are learning all of the Reception routines. It is amazing how much there is to take on board and it can all be very confusing for four year olds. All of the staff will be playing with the children, helping them to find what they need and to become as independent as possible. We will be recording the play on Tapestry, so look out for notifications that new observations have been uploaded.

At carpet time, we will begin to learn some letter sounds - s a t  - and will listen for these sounds at the beginning of words. Teachers will model using these sounds to read simple words. We will also be counting forwards and backwards and looking at written numerals.

We would like to send reading books home next week - if you have a book bag please send it into school.
