Football @ Bottesford

Year 5/6 Girls

Year 5/6 Girls

We ventured to our local rivals Bottesford for a friendly match under their floodlights. This was our first game of the year with many of the girls never having represented the school in football before. The game was competitive and quite even at the beginning before our girls found their feet and the back of the net. The final result was 10-3 to Berkeley with Savannah taking POM for her mazy dribbling in her first outing for the school since joining us.

Goal were scored by:

Pupil Voice

'My favourite player of the match was probably Amelie because she had a lot of good passes and nearly scored. I liked the match, even though it was dark and had lots of fun. I almost scored a goal!'

Savannah (Y6)

Year 3/4 Boys

This was a fantastic game of football to watch with some high quality football being played from both teams. Although the result ended 5-3 to Bottesford, our children battled back from 3-0 down to level the score, this was fantastic to see as it showed a real team spirit and togetherness that we love in our Berkeley teams.

POM goes to Rex (Y3) for his tireless running, tackling and creativity throughout the game.
