Oracy

Our Oracy task this term was to justify/argue which of: farming and irrigation, hieroglyphics and papyrus or construction was the greatest legacy left behind by the Ancient Egyptians.

In groups of three, the children had to decide on one of the above and persuade children from 5 Holly that their chosen legacy was the most important.

The children had to create a PowerPoint which included only a selection of key words and supported by images. They then had to use their oracy skills to deliver their reasonings. For some children, they found this task quite daunting and you can see in the images that several of them had little prompt cards. 

I was immensely proud of the entire class and they should feel a great sense of achievement that they've been able to stand in front of a group of people and deliver their oracy presentations.
