  • Berkeley Primary School has a new mobile app!

    Thu 29 Sep 2016

It is designed to keep you well informed about your child's education and life in general at school, and to help cut down on paper and ink consumption.  We will post school news, events, curriculum information, contacts details and the like on the app and will also use it to send important messages.  It will work alongside our school website.

So whether you are out and about with your phone or at home with access to a tablet you will always have a quick and convenient way to find key information or simply browse. Do let us know what other information and features we should add to the app.

The Photograph consent form you have signed for the school website will also apply to the app.  If you have signed consent to use photos your child may appear on the app too.

    How to download the app

You can get the app if you have an Apple or Android phone and/or tablet.  It is free so pass this on to grandparents, godparents and close family friends.

Visit the Apple app store or Google Play on your device and search for "Berkeley Primary School."

You may download the app onto multiple devices but will need to install separately on each one.

    Key Tips

    1.  Start by visiting the Settings page (see right, reached via 'More' tile on Home page) and turn on the year groups you are interested in.  The app will then alert you to relevant messages in these categories.

Please leave the Urgent alerts category turned on.  This is for messages from the school to everyone about urgent matters.

    2. The Timeline tile contains a record of the alert messages you have been sent by the school.  The circular counter on the app shows how many Unread messages you have.

    3. It is a good idea to close the app when not in use.  This allows content to refresh and you will not miss anything urgent since alert messages will pop up on your phone even when the app is off.

    4.  You can find a more detailed guide to navigating the app in the Information section of the app itself.

If you have any queries, please pop in to school.

  • Keep safe whilst crossing the road

Thu 15 Sep 2016 Anna Cvijetic

We have been informed our School Crossing Patrol who works outside school is poorly and will be off for several months.  We ask that you remind your children to keep safe when crossing the road.

Until the situation has been resolved, we will endeavour to have a member of staff on the road side to help children cross safely (we do not have the power to stop traffic).  Please cross with the member of staff wearing the bright tabbard.

If anyone is interested in being a casual School Crossing Patrol, please contact Pam Macleod, SCP Supervisor for North Lincolnshire Council on 01724 297463.
