  • Chair of Governors - John Veall - wins award

    We are very proud that our Chair of Governors, John Veall, won the 'Services to School Governance Award' at the North Lincolnshire Community Champion Awards. 

     

    The Community Champion Awards recognise truly inspirational achievements from people in North Lincolnshire communities. The seventh annual Community Champion Awards took place on 22 November 2018 at The Baths Hall in Scunthorpe.

     

    Many congratulations to John for achieving this award, it is well deserved.  We as a school know how hard John works championing and improving our school, dedicating many hours for many years in his role of Chair of Governors.

  • Healthy Heroes' Club

    Today some lucky children received a GOLDEN TICKET, which invited them to attend a special Healthy Heroes' Club, which will be starting in January 2019. The club will involve the children taking part in a variety of physical activities and learning more about healthy eating.

  • Get Glowing Sports Event

    Please take a look at the pictures below of the recent Get Glowing Sport Event.

     

    30 children attended this event which included a variety of sports involving UV Light. The children thoroughly enjoyed this new and exciting event.

    Berkeley Primary School has been awarded the School Games Gold Award for 2017/2018. We are extremely proud to have achieved this award.

     

    Sarah Burdett, School Sports Manager stated, 'This government led award signifies the level of commitment and dedication to PE provision, sporting opportunity and competition development your school has demonstrated in the last academic year, so a huge well done to you all'.

  • Healthy Packed Lunch Posters

    We now have 12 year 5 pupils who have been recruited as Change4Life Champions. Their role is to encourage children and school staff to make healthy food and drink choices. 

     

    Today they have been busy creating healthy packed lunch posters, which will be placed around the dinner hall, to remind children what a healthy packed lunch could include.
