We have set up a pre-loved school uniform station in our main entrance next to the school office. (please see attached picture)
Items such as school uniform, PE kit, shoes and coats will be stored in here. Items will be organised into the baskets and labelled with the appropriate age.
Please feel free to help yourself to any of these items throughout the year. You do not need to inform the office, please just come and take any items you need for your child.
We have started to put some items in the baskets already but if you have any pre-loved school uniform or any items mentioned above in excellent/ washed condition, we would really appreciate it if you could send these to the school office. This way we can keep the uniform station topped up throughout the year for those in need.
Many thanks for your co-operation.
Many thanks to all those that came to help Father Christmas (who is rather busy at the moment) with the wrapping of presents. Our children are so good at school, and Father Christmas knows how much we love reading, that he brings all of our children a new book for Christmas.
I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation for your support and involvement in our recent Christmas bauble making activity.
The Christmas bauble making project was a tremendous success, and I am delighted to inform you that the results were simply outstanding. Our students showcased their design technology sewing skills, creating beautiful baubles that truly captured the essence of the holiday season.
These remarkable creations are being proudly displayed on our school Christmas trees, adding a touch of magic and festivity to our surroundings. The baubles looked absolutely amazing, and it is a testament to the talent and creativity of our children.
I want to extend a special thank you to all the parents and grandparents who took the time to sit with their children and support them in making the baubles. Your involvement and encouragement truly makes a difference, and it was heartwarming to witness the bond between families as they worked together on this project.
Additionally, I would like to congratulate the winners in each key stage. Your baubles stood out amongst the many remarkable entries, and it is evident that you put a great deal of effort and thought into your designs. Well done!
I would also like to express my gratitude to Mrs Fowles and Mrs Bielby, our DT leaders, for their creativity and dedication in coming up with this wonderful idea and organising the activity. Their commitment to providing enriching experiences for our children is truly commendable, and we are fortunate to have them as part of our school community.
Once again, I want to thank each and every one of you for your support and participation in this endeavor. Your involvement in your child's education is invaluable, and it is through our collective effort that we can create a nurturing and inspiring learning environment.
Wishing you all a joyous and peaceful holiday season.
Christmas D&T sewing competition!
After a D&T pupil survey we have learned that children in our school love to do sewing but do not often get an opportunity to practise sewing at home! So, to encourage “home sewing” we are happy to announce a Christmas sewing competition!
To enter the competition, you must:
All decorations will be used to decorate our school!
5 winners will be chosen and awarded PRIZES during the festive light switch on assembly!
Bring your Christmas decoration in an envelope / plastic wallet with the child’s name, year group and class name. Hand them in to school office.
Below are some ideas for the baubles but feel free to create new and exciting designs!
We are looking forward to see your creations!

Dear Parents and Carers,
We are really looking forward to all of our Christmas Celebrations this year. The children will be doing lots of lovely Christmas activities in class too. Please read the information below regarding all Christmas Events that are coming up here at school.
Christmas Card Post Box
From 1st December, there will be a Christmas Card Post Box in the Nursery, Reception, Infants and the Juniors. The children are welcome to post their cards to be delivered to their friends and teachers in this box. Please can you ensure that they have the child’s full name, year group and class on to help our post people get them to the right person.
Christmas Wrapping Morning
Father Christmas would like a little help with wrapping the presents, as his elves are so busy already. We would like to ask if there are any parents or grandparents who feel they can give us an hour or two of their time on the morning of 6th December to help, starting at 8.50am after dropping off. We will provide the wrapping paper, scissors and sellotape. You will be rewarded with a mince pie, beverage, some Christmas tunes and good conversation. If you are able to help please contact the school office. We will meet at the junior site.

To mark the start of Anti-bullying week, on Tuesday 14th November we are asking children to come to school wearing odd socks.
It's a great way to celebrate what makes us all unique in Anti-Bullying Week!
Children will also be engaging in some fun activities to help us think about difference and also ways to prevent bullying.
Best wishes
