At Berkeley Primary school we strive to instill creativity and an explorative nature within our children, allowing them to experience the many areas of Art. Throughout their school journey children explore areas such as drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, clay, textiles and digital media. We intend to show our children a diverse range of artists and artforms. Children are provided with their own personal sketchbooks starting in year 1, this allows them to have their own space to explore and express their ideas. We encourage children to think about their class topics through art whilst also ensuring good progression of skills in the different areas.
