One of my favourite events of the year is the Quad Kids.
The Quad element represents the 4 different events that every member of our teams must compete in. Points are awarded in each event based on:
How fast they can complete a sprint (50m Y3/4, 75m Y5/6)
How far they throw a vortex
How quickly they can complete a longer distance run (400m Y3/4, 600m Y5/6)
How far they can jump from a standing start.
Each team is made of 4 boys and 4 girls and their cumulative scores are added together.
This is always a very challenging competition and this year was no different with 17 schools from across North Lincolnshire competing.
Our Y3/4 children produced some amazing 50m sprint efforts and ended up finishing 5th overall.
The Y5/6 children really came together as a team and finished 2nd overall, meaning they have now qualified to represent North Lincolnshire at the HSG (Humber School Games) at the Costello Stadium in Hull.
