As part of our Ancient Egyptians topic, we designed and built our own pneumatic coffins in teams. We incorporated lots of different elements from everything we had learnt, designing our coffins using hieroglyphics and inspiration from Egyptian art. We learnt how to use syringes and tubing to make a pneumatic system, which we connected to a linkage system in order for the lid of our coffin to rise.
