Our Reading Ambassadors at work
BERKELEY READING AMBASSADORS
This year, at Berkeley, our Reading Ambassadors are going to play a vital role in developing the culture of the school when it comes to Reading for Pleasure and promoting a love of reading.
Nine new Y5 children have been carefully selected to fulfil this role for the academic year of 2022 - 2023 and Mrs Marsh, the Reading Lead, met with them all today and to say she was impressed by their enthusiasm would be an understatement! We cannot wait to see what this school year has in store for our Ambassadors and where the journey of developing all of our pupil's love of reading takes us!
Our First Training Session
7.11.22 - This was the day we met with Sarah Tipler (or the Pink Lady as she loves to be called) and also the day we started our journey as Berkeley Reading Ambassadors.
We learnt all about one of the most important roles of an ambassador and that was how to support other children with their reading. Our training session lasted an hour and we were given so many ideas on how work with the younger children in our school to support their reading journey and we cannot wait to get started!
