We had a brilliant afternoon out at the PODs to take part in the Inclusive Boccia competition. This was the best turn out the event had ever had with 20 teams competing from across the North Lincolnshire Get Ahead Partnership.
Our school took 6 children (2 teams) and all of the children represented the school impeccably from start to finish.
The competition was fierce with some excellent shots made across the 6 courts in use. The children who represented Berkeley battled hard and certainly grew in confidence as the games progressed and the adjusted to the pace of the balls.
Leo had started to master the Lobbed shot by the end with many of his shots rolling up next to the Jack and Callum really found his groove by the end with several stunning shots that ricocheted of opponents balls to become a scoring shot.
This was a brilliant event to watch and what made it even more enjoyable was witnessing the sheer enjoyment all the children showed throughout. Well done to everyone who represented the school.
