Google Classroom

Where a group of pupils have been sent home, work is being set on Google Classroom for pupils to complete. 

This can be accessed by visiting: https://classroom.google.com/u/0/h.

When following this link, be sure to log in with your child's ____@berkeleyprimary.co.uk email address. 

Alternatively, an app is available on Android and Apple devices. I recommend also downloading the Google Meet, Google Docs and Google Slides apps. 

I have added some help for parents and pupils on the page linked below. I have created two video guides to using Google Classroom and accessing live lessons. These can be seen below or by visiting Children > Videos.

Our Home Learning offer is set out in the Remote Learning Policy below.  This also includes how we safeguard children and staff and our expectations of behaviour during home learning live lessons and remote lessons.

Below are links to useful websites and documents to aid home education. 

Please also look on the 'Curriculum' page as there is a very clear summary of everything your children need to learn in every subject in their year group.  This will give you an idea of where to start with home learning.  For example in Geography:

- Year 1 children need to name and locate the 4 countries in the UK and the 7 continents

- Year 3 children need to locate and name 3 volcanoes

- Year 5 children need to name and locate the world's major rivers

This is something families can work on with their children at home.

The calculation strategy, this is also on the 'Curriculum' page will also aid you with how to teach addition, subtraction, multiplication and division at each year group.
