Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
We have had a great time in our Art club this term. The Year 6 children have worked really hard, learning about a great artist called Beatriz Milhazes - we love her work. The children have learnt some new drawing, printing and collaging techniques over the last few weeks to make a piece of art work in her style. Well done everyone.
Christmas Events
We are really looking forward to all of our Christmas Celebrations this year. The children will be doing lots of lovely Christmas activities in class too. Please read the information below regarding all Christmas Events that are coming up here at school. All the dates below are on the school calendar on the website.
Christmas Card Post Box
From 1st December, there will be a Christmas Card Post Box in the Nursery, Reception, Infants and the Juniors. The children are welcome to post their cards to be delivered to their friends and teachers in this box. Please can you ensure that they have the child’s full name, year group and class on to help our post people get them to the right person.
Christmas Wrapping Morning
Father Christmas would like a little help with wrapping the presents, as his elves are so busy already. We would like to ask if there are any parents or grandparents who feel they can give us an hour or two of their time on the morning of Wednesday 4th December to help, starting at 8.50am after dropping off. We will provide the wrapping paper, scissors and sellotape. You will be rewarded with a mince pie, beverage, some Christmas tunes and good conversation. If you are able to help please contact the school office. We will meet at the junior site.
Christmas Lunch & Jumpers
Christmas lunch is a lovely opportunity for the school staff and children to celebrate Christmas together. Children can also come to school wearing their Christmas Jumpers on their lunch day.

Last Day of Term- Friday 20th Dec
The last day of term will be Friday 20th December. All children can come to school in Christmas Jumpers/ Non-uniform on this day.
Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope this letter finds you and your families well as we approach the festive season. I am delighted to announce an exciting Christmas competition that I believe your children will thoroughly enjoy.
This year, we are challenging our creative children to design a sleigh for Father Christmas that can float on water in water-bound countries. The winning design will not only bring joy to those less fortunate but will also earn the designer/s a very good prize.
To enter, children should create a detailed plan and model of their sleigh design, highlighting how it would function in a water-based environment. All entries should be submitted to Mrs Burnett by the deadline of Friday 6th December.
I am confident that our children's innovative minds will produce some truly remarkable designs, and I look forward to seeing their submissions. This is a wonderful opportunity for them to explore the principles of physics and design, while also embracing the spirit of Christmas.
Please encourage your child to participate in this competition. I have no doubt that their creativity and problem-solving skills will shine through.
If you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
Wishing you all a wonderful lead-up to the Christmas season.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Burnett
Y6 class teacher and science lead
Our Year 5 & 6 children loved their 'Into Film' cinema visit to watch Despicable Me 4 today. Lots of smiling faces and laughter, hoping they're not going to pick up on of the Minions habits! Our children behaved impeccably, which was commented on by the cinema staff - they were really impressed by them.
We also enjoyed a talk by the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) about film ratings.
This year our school will be supporting Children in Need by taking part in a Non-Uniform Day on Friday 15th November.
(for Nursery children this will be on Monday 18th November)
Children will not need to wear school uniform on this day; they can come to school in their own clothes or anything Pudsey/ spotty themed.
A suggested donation of £1.00 would be gratefully received which will be sent to the Children in Need charity.
Thank you for your support.
To mark the start of Anti-bullying week, on Tuesday 12th November we are asking children to come to school wearing odd socks. It's a great way to celebrate what makes us all unique.
This year’s theme is Choose Respect. We would like adults and children to come together to have discussions about what it means to disagree respectfully and how to avoid resorting to bullying. We can all choose to lead by example by choosing respect!
Children will also be engaging in some fun activities to help us think about difference and also ways to prevent bullying.
