  • School Games Gold Award 2017/18

    Berkeley Primary School has been awarded the School Games Gold Award for 2017/2018. We are extremely proud to have achieved this award.

     

    Sarah Burdett, School Sports Manager stated, 'This government led award signifies the level of commitment and dedication to PE provision, sporting opportunity and competition development your school has demonstrated in the last academic year, so a huge well done to you all'.

  • Healthy Packed Lunch Posters

    We now have 12 year 5 pupils who have been recruited as Change4Life Champions. Their role is to encourage children and school staff to make healthy food and drink choices. 

     

    Today they have been busy creating healthy packed lunch posters, which will be placed around the dinner hall, to remind children what a healthy packed lunch could include.

  • Parent Reading Workshop

    Thank you to everyone who came to the Reading Workshop last week. Sarah Tipler, the local authority Development Officer, talked passionately about the importance of reading with your child. It was a great success.
  • New Key Stage 2 Playground Zones

    On Monday 19th November 2018 there will be three NEW physical activity zones introduced to our Key Stage 2 playground. 

     

    Our fantastic Sports Ambassadors and Sports Leaders will be delivering a variety of games for children to participate in, including; tig games, obstacle courses, races, skipping and many more. The existing rotas will still be in place for football, basketball and the adventure playground.

     

    We hope to see lots of children enjoying these NEW break time activities on Monday!

     

  • Assembly led by Humberside Fire and Rescue

    Humberside Fire and Rescue visited school to talk to the children about keeping safe at Bonfire Night.

     

    The children also went outside to see the fire engine and were able to have a go with the water hose- please take a look at the children in action below.

     

  • Year 4 Remembrance Day Service

    Thank you to all Year 4 parents who joined us for our Remembrance Day Service last week.

     

    The children performed songs and poems, as well as sharing some of the things they have learnt about Remembrance Day.
