Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
We are really looking forward to our Summer Fayre on Wednesday 27th June 2018 from 3.20pm until 4.30pm. We really hope you will join us and enjoy the fun.
A taster of some of the plan;
Bouncy castle - Ice creams
Bottle tombola - Café
Games stalls - Cake stall - Raffle
The children are really excited about it and we have a competition for them- we have given each class £20, and whichever class makes the most profit from their stall, they get to keep the profit for a class treat- we are hoping to see some budding Alan Sugars!!!
How can you help?
Bottle tombola- On Monday 25th June we are having a non-uniform day, instead of a monetary donation, we would ask that you send in a bottle (any kind- wine, whisky, shampoo, washing up liquid, squash, shower gel)
Cake donations- We welcome any donations of home-made or shop bought cakes for our cake stall. Please bring in your donations on Tuesday 26th June.
Raffle prizes- We have some great raffle prizes but would appreciate any other raffle prizes you or your work could donate as soon as possible.
Summer Fayre is one of those occasions for us all to get together as a school community. I look forward to seeing you and your children on 27th June.
This morning we had the pleasure to welcome Councillor Rob Waltham MBE and Councillor David Rose to our school.
A few months ago we put a bid in to the council to develop a Nurture Room, and was successful in being awarded £15,000. The councillors visited to see how we had used this money and how it would benefit our children.
This nurture room will support the valuable work of our specially trained staff who provide essential personalised support to our children in a comfortable and welcoming environment. The support helps children to build their self-confidence, to cope with emotional issues and to develop resilience.
Our Year 6 children also took this opportunity to interview our visitors. They wrote some questions to ask the Rob and David, put these questions to them, and then write this interview up as an extended piece of writing back in the classroom.
We were delighted in Year 6 to complete our final SAT exam today. The children and staff have worked so hard this year and we are hoping this will be reflected in the papers taken this week.
To celebrate an ice cream van arrived and we all enjoyed the treat. Many thanks to Vision Supply Agency for arranging this for us.
A big thank you to everyone who supported our Charity Marathon Run for Lindsay Lodge Hospice.
We raised an amazing £441.63.
Thankyou
Please see the poster below for dates and times of our two workshops that are taking place in school.
Thankyou
This year our school has decided to organise a Charity Marathon Run to help raise funds for the local charity, Lindsey Lodge Hospice. I am sure many of you have family members or friends who have been affected by Cancer or other serious illnesses and have been supported by the Lindsey Lodge Hospice. Raising funds enables the hospice to continue the specialist care they offer and we hope you agree that this is such a wonderful charity for us to support and an asset to our community in our time of need.
The Charity Marathon Run will take place at school on Wednesday 2nd May for children in Years 1-6. A course will be mapped out around our school playing field and throughout the day children will complete the course. KS1 children will aim to complete ½ mile and KS2 children 1 mile. Mr Newsome is leading this event.
Your child will need their PE kit, trainers and a drink with them on this day.
A suggested donation of £1.00 would be gratefully received but we welcome any donations you would like to make.
Thankyou for your continued support.
Once again there are FREE breakfast and books sessions at the Park Library over the Easter period.
Please see the poster for more information.
Thankyou
Children will finish for the Easter Holidays at 3.15pm on Wednesday 28th March 2018.
School will re-open for children on Monday 16th April 2018.
Thankyou
A big well done to all our wonderful dancers who performed at the Primary Dance Showcase at The Baths Hall on 12th March.
The children performed a choreographed dance routine to music from the film Trolls.
Below are pictures taken by the professional photographer who attend the event.
