Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Operation Christmas Child is the world’s largest children’s Christmas project, which enables children in need to receive a gift-filled shoe box at Christmas. Last year over 8 million shoe boxes were sent to children in hospitals, orphanages, homeless shelters and poor communities. Often a shoe box full of gifts is the only present these children will receive at Christmas.
As a school we have decided to support this wonderful project. Our aim is for school to collect and send 100 boxes. We need your help too!
If you would like to make a shoe box at home for us to send, then please see the leaflet for more information. The leaflet explains how to pack your shoe box and also gives ideas of items and toys that are suitable. Please send your shoebox to your child’s class teacher by Tuesday 21st November.
Thankyou for your support.
On Friday 20th October we will be celebrating Harvest Festival in school. Our Year 6 children will be leading an assembly for the infant and junior children.
Year 6 parents are invited to the Harvest Festival on Friday 20th October at 9.05 a.m. in the Junior Hall. Please see the Harvest letter in the letters tab for more information.
Like previous years we will be collecting non-perishable foods (tins, packets, pasta, rice etc) for the Scunthorpe Food Bank who support families in our area. Your donations will be gratefully received.
Please kindly send any donations to the school with your child between now and the Harvest Festival.
Thank you for your support.

As from Tuesday 26 September we will return to normal arrangements for bringing and collecting children from school. The playground has been tarmacked this afternoon and work is still in progress but it will not affect access to school.
Thank you for your patience and support
As from Thursday 21 September access to the large playground on the Infant site is not possible whilst urgent work is being carried out following the electrical problems we have experienced this week.
Can parents of children in classes 1 Oak, 1 Beech, 2 Oak and 2 Holly walk through the Junior site car park and access the Infant site using the gate on your left, please use the usual entrance when bringing and collecting your child. This arrangement also applies to children coming to the Infant Breakfast Club.
Parents of children in 1 Holly and 2 Beech please use the front doors of the Infant site when bringing and collecting your child.
Parents of children in the Reception unit can use the normal route.
We are expecting that all should be back to normal by Monday 25 September but if the barriers are still up please follow the routes as above.
Thank you for your understanding and support whilst we are undergoing this vital work.
School will be open for all children tomorrow (Thursday 21st September) as normal.
Many thanks to the infant parents today for your support in collecting your children and your understanding. We apologise for any inconvenience we caused you.
We had to evacuate the building as there was a small amount of smoke in an area of the school coming from an electric cupboard in the infants. It was identified immediately and the alarm sounded and electric turned off. It was obviously unsafe for us to return to the building until the problem has been dealt with by professionals.
We have engineers currently working on the problem and they have said we will either have mains electric or have a generator giving us electric tomorrow.
The smoke was only a very small amount and there has been no damage or smell to any of the children's items or school resources.
Currently the Infant site is closed, please pick your children up from the Junior site at home time today.
Thankyou
